On Malcolm X's 100th birthday, a tribute to a man cut down before he could realize his full potential. Appearing in Bernd Pohlenz's Black Power Cartoon Collection to be seen by 1000s in Dortmund. A firebrand for black rights in America, Malcolm made a distinct pivot away from violence to a different path in 1964. After a visit to Mecca, he felt more connected with people of all colors, religions, and backgrounds, while also becoming aware of the hypocrisies and corruption within the Nation of Islam. His refusal to "just go along" and continued vocal presence made his assassination an unfortunate certainty.
