It sure is. And I don't know if it was originally a Steven Wright. It just sounded like something he might say. If you don't know his stand-up, you should check him out. I think you would like his sense of humor.

Don't know Steven Wright. The cartoon was inspired by a joke told to me by my daughter last year, I didn't know where she got it. If the joke originated with Steven Wright I'd be more than pleased to give him due credit.

On hearing the original joke I laughed for five minutes and it's been kicking around the back of my brain ever since. I thought it was funny enough to be memorialized visually.
