Denver Bronco Hiring Misses
#400698 / vu 1386 foisLatest toon for Mile High Sports Magazine - the leading publication for all things sports related in the Rocky Mountain region.
What coulda been...
Quarterback Josh Allen was available in the draft a few years back, and the Denver Broncos passed that opportunity up for a defensive lineman who has been mostly injured and rarely effective since. Allen on the other hand, is now one of the top QBs in the game, and nearly got his team to the Super Bowl.
Kyle Shanahan (son of Bronco coach great Mike Shanahan) was available as a coach almost as many years ago and yet the Broncos passed him up as well. He has since as head coach steered his team to the playoffs and impressed everyone with his coaching prowess.
Of course, hindsight can make geniuses out of all of us.
