Max/toopnpool.com is mixturing the religion with a common celebration. Today Santa is very famous even in Japan, in Sri-Lanka, in Etopia, in Australia, etc. His comment, if I may say, is subjective as it is. Trying categorize a cartoon about Santa Claus under a religion shield is one ting and the understanding of a common figure like Santa Claus and his existing is another. Even if he represents a westerilized belief, he is a symbol for something new and for not only Christians but to the east world too. MOST of the children everywhere grow with ''his'' gifts and read him, watch him on the cartoons and he is a kind of dream figure for every one. What Hayati shows is focusing on ''cultural differences'' and this doesnt need to signify a religious stand point. As I can see. this is nothing to do with his wife being German neither, nor with he lives in Berlin.
Cultural differences are not only a difference between East and West. In Australia our Santa is wearing bikini and can swim. This Christian Santa can be also categorized as ''DIFFERENT'' rather than a religious stamp. We creates our different ideologies. And differences, if you want can be seen a richdom, not a thread.
