Kümmel, achtzig Jahre alt
bestieg den Bus nach Ahornwald.
Ein junges Fräulein bot ihm dann
höflich ihren Sitzplatz an.

"Fräulein ich möchte Sie nicht verletzen,
Sie dürfen auf meinen Schoß sich setzen.
Die Fahrt ist weit nach Ahornwald,
und das Stehen ermüdet halt".

Sie setzte sich auf den Schoß des Alten.
Er durfte sogar ihr Händchen halten.
Als sie sich hin und her bewegte,
sich in Kümmel etwas regte.

Da zog er zurück sein Angebot.
Er dachte, das sei längst schon tot.
Er sagte zu ihr und lachte:
"Ich bin doch jünger, als ich dachte!"
