This is a cover made for a CD with various Arkansas fiddlers. I thought this was hillbilly country, so I made a happy old hillbilly with all the stereotypes. Overalls, corn pibe whisley jug etc. But it was never used because some of the fiddlers felt offended by it. They thought it made them look like "dumb, moron hicks".
I hit a sensitive subject there apparently. Now you judge for yourself.

Railroad Man

This is made with the tecnique called scraperboard. Which is paper covered with a layer of chalk, and then painted over with black ink. And then you draw with some sharp tool, so that the white chalk becomes visible. You draw the light so to speak, where you draw the shadows when drawing with black ink on white paper.
