Member		It happens everywhere, Lack of disciplin, how high up it gone in this specific situation I don´t know, sure it done a lot of harm to the image of the US, you only know about it because it is America, an America and its free press you know, one can use or missuse that in making propaganda. Member		you draw a picture of political cartoonists VS "humor cartoonists" here, that I hadn't thought of. In essence you claim toonpool and its capability to unite people and share jokes for non-political cartoons. You basically want to exclude conflict, because you think people might be apalled by the possibility of it. I think this is problematic not only because there's a chance for change in conflict (everyone commenting on your complaint has said so, this far), but also because you would have to exclude a whole branch of often outrageously funny or thoughtful cartoons. Member		Uhm, let me turn it that way: this is a free site where free people may express their opinion. And the issue described here is a part of the history of the United States of America. Every nation has to deal with its history. If people turn away because of this, then they're not ready for the future yet. Member		.. aren't you being a little overly cautious? there's more than one cartoon on here & I would think that Americans can (or should be able to) deal with critical voices. Cartoons that criticize America clearly don't form the majority here - and, frankly, I think this cartoon is only a valid expression of the contradiction between American values and actions. I have to admit that there are a few people that get aggressive in their comments, sometimes bordering on being anti-American. I get angry at those, especially if it's utterly impossible to have a discussion with them. But they are only a few and generally, people are nice & smart on toonpool.
